Castlerigg stone circle. High above Keswick in the Lake
District stand the surviving 38 stones of this Bronze Age stone circle.
This dramatic view is roughly from the South, looking towards Skiddaw
and Saddleback. Painted from a field sketch after severe harrassment by
cows! (We were lucky, sometime in 1997 a woman had to be rushed to hospital
after being attacked by a cow! It's true - Honest)

The gatehouse from Stokesay castle in Shropshire. The
castle itself is a fortified manor house and is situated just behind
where this view is taken from!

A painting of some of the stones at Stonehenge,
Wiltshire. Probably the best known stone circle in the World. Thankfully,
in this picture, painted from one of English Heritage's publications,
you can't see the 'fence' erected around the stones to keep people
away from them. Original size 10" x 7"

Towering over the River Coquet, in Northumberland,
stand the impressive ruins of Warkworth Castle. This is some detail
from a larger painting, which sadly, went rather wrong..... Fortunately,
this bit was still quite good!
